Artist's Description

This painting is about turbulent water and turmoil. It has vibrant oranges, yellows, blues, purples and turquoise. It was an idea I had about sailors at sea. My uncle was a sailor for the U.S. Navy and was out to sea for many months at a time. I often thought what that would be like and what the sky and water might look and feel like during storms. This is just my interpretation of turmoil at sea.Being away from family for so many months was very hard on all the sailors. My mother often said to me "Red Sky at Morning, Sailors Warning, Red Sky at Night Sailors Delight".
